Following the successful conclusion of the initial residential development at the historic Royal Arsenal, providing a mixture of converted buildings and new build infill, a new masterplan was instigated to incorporate remaining existing buildings and more extensive development stretching along the Thames. The first, Phase 1 (The Armouries) involved the development of new residential buildings with 450 apartments within a perimeter of mixed use Listed Buildings of the former Royal Carriage Works c1805.
The second phase (The Warehouse) is a complete new building on the site of a former stores and workshop, designed in a sympathetic style to reflect its historic industrial significance of the site.
Phase 3 (Laboratory Square) is a wrap around development reflecting the sixteenth century courtyard formation of Laboratory buildings and incorporates restoration of the two oldest surviving Listed Buildings, c1694, at the Royal Arsenal.
