Over a number of years working with our client Berkeley Homes, we have evolved an innovative back-to-back Urban House design that allows twice as many homes to be built on a site compared to traditional terrace housing. The design concept has now been patented.
The design has been developed in parallel for off-site modular construction, effectively three modules vertically stacked. The Practice has now gained extensive expertise in Off-Site modular construction, which is being utilised across future sites for apartments, including tower blocks, as well as houses.
The first of these off-site constructed houses has been assembled at Kidbrooke Village in South London, forming a cluster of fifteen houses.
