In 2014 HSBC were considering options for vacating Norwich & Frobisher House in Central Southampton, an outdated 60’s office block complex. Their aspiration was to move to more modern premises better suited to their current needs and after the usual site search and Due Diligence process they acquired a new lease for the entire space at Forum One
Forum One is located in Solent Business Park, an out of town Campus Site between Southampton and Portsmouth. The buildings are set in pleasant, well-landscaped parkland with water features making it an attractive location for a modern office.
While the building proved an ideal setting for the Bank to implement its new strategy for agile working and a modern workplace environment its out of town location created extra challenges for the Project Team during the initial transition period
The building was originally designed in 2000 over 3 floors, with a total net internal area of 6180 square metres. It also has a central atrium of 160 square metres, which is used as an informal breakout/cafe area with potential use as multi-functional space for 150 people.
The space is home to around 1000 employees
