Hermitage Wharf’s unique riverside setting provided an opportunity for a spectacular development. Located to the east of Tower Bridge on the north bank of the River Thames it overlooks Shad Thames and the Design Museum on the south bank.
The scheme was won at competition and comprises 97 one, two and three bed residential apartments in three towers, with duplex penthouses enjoying panoramic views of Central London. A restaurant and gallery are situated at podium level, accessed via a landscaped riverside walkway.
The street elevation is primarily yellow stock brick with ‘punch hole’ windows respecting the tradition of warehousing in the area. The south ‘river’ elevation utilises metal, glass and timber and is oriented to the west, maximising views of Tower Bridge.
